Breaking News... We have just heard about a dear little donkey named "Chalky" who is in desperate need of our help. He was found all alone and unable to stand properly, lying in a muddy field. Shockingly, we are told he has been neglected there for years. He is terribly thin, but his tummy is bloated with parasitic worms and his skin is infected and inflamed from rain-scald and lice. We must act fast to save him, but we urgently need to raise the funds to make this happen. His designated transport will be costly and if we can get him to our sanctuary his initial veterinary and healthcare costs could easily run into thousands of pounds... Photographs show his hooves are in a terrible state so we know he will undoubtedly need expensive x-rays and we are also anticipating expensive farrier and equine dentist fees.
