I’m setting myself a challenge to raise money for Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG): I’m going to write 100 stories in just one day!
This is part of the #CaptainTom100: people are coming up with challenges based around the number 100 to raise money for charities. I thought that writing 100 stories would be a great way to fundraise and have some fun along the way.
I will only have a few minutes for each story, so they will definitely be very wacky! Have you ever tried to write under pressure? The weirdest things come out. I just tried to write a story as a test, and gave myself 3 minutes to do it. I’ll post it in the page updates (unedited) if you want to take a look…
You can get involved too! If you donate to my fundraiser, you get to name a character. It could be your own name or a funny made-up one – anything you want! (Although I reserve the right to veto very rude submissions). You can send me the name by email or in the donation note. (It’s optional of course).
The stories will be quite short (probably 100 to 200 words) but there will be ONE HUNDRED of them. I will definitely run out of ideas so do send some my way!
I’m fundraising for CPAG because one in four children in the UK are growing up in poverty. CPAG works to prevent and end child poverty – for good.
I’m going to be doing the challenge on Sunday May 2nd 2021. Please support me if you can. Thank you!
