1882 Challenge 2020
Campaign by Church Army (RCN 226226)
Do something amazing this September as part of the 1882 Challenge! Help us raise £82,000 for marginalised communities across the UK and Ireland by doing something around the numbers 18 or 82!

Story

I work for the Church Army: a charity founded in 1882 by an entrepreneur named Wilson Carlile. As a young man, Wilson encountered Jesus in the throes of economic disaster and existential crisis. He later said:

"I have seen the crucified and risen Lord."..."He touched my heart, and old desires and hopes left it. In their place came the new thought that I might serve Him and His poor and suffering brethren."

Since the time of our founding, Church Army have been serving those who are poor, suffering and isolated: the hungry are being fed, the homeless are being sheltered and the isolated are being welcomed. Many, like Wilson himself, are seeing the risen Lord and having their hearts similarly touched. Long may it continue!

If, like me, you would like for it to continue, then please consider sponsoring me as I undertake this gruelling bike ride. Even if it's only a little, it adds up in a big way. Thanks a lot friends.
