Story
In June I will be walking up Ben Nevis with my friends Tim and Fiona. I have never done anything like this before and I am really looking forward to the challenge! Just to make it more difficult we shall be doing this at night time! We will only be able to see by torchlight and moonlight (if there is any!). We will start our trek at about 10:30pm and aim to get to the top by sunrise before having to walk all the way down again!
I believe this charity does amazing work and I want to help them raise as much money as possible. Having had members of my family suffer from Alzheimers I understand the impact it can have on families.
As many of you know I am currently doing an MSc to become an Occuaptional Therapist. For the next few months I have two pieces of coursework, a dissertation to write, and go on my final placment. Therefore finding the time to train for this event is going to be a challenge in itself, maybe I can learn to walk and read at the same time! Therefore knowing that people are out there encouraging me and donating their money will greatly help with my motivation to put the pens and books down and go out in the fresh air.
I have my walking boots, all I need to do now is start breaking them in! Please give as much as you can, even a few pounds will make all the difference!
