Story

These events were supposed to take place in 2021 but were unfortunately postponed due to covid and I have had to create a new page as not able to change the original event to the new one!

Thank you so much to those that have donated! And thank you to the company I work for, Navigator, who have pledged to match the total donation amount!

This year I will be taking part in the following events:

15K Tandem Skydive - 26th May 2022 (paid for by ourselves so all pennies raised will go to Macmillan and not funded towards the skydive!)

26 Mile Might Hike Lake District - 18th June 2022

Tough Mudder Yorkshire Full - 30th July 2022  (paid for by ourselves so all pennies raised will go to Macmillan and not funded towards the event!)

Sheffield 10K - 25th September 2022

Macmillan is a great charity that offer support for those going through or have been going through cancer treatment. Not only do they offer support to those directly going through the treatment but also their family and friends.

We all hate the "C" word, but in tough times it's great that there are charities such as Macmillan out there to offer support and guidance.

I have spoken to them personally, and the compassion and support they provide is incredible.

Sadly, it is more common than we tend to think. In a 3 year period - we had 5 family members diagnosed. Thankfully, we now have 3 in remission but it doesn't make the thought any less overwhelming.

Along with the 5 diagnosed, my Pap was also diagnosed with lung cancer at 79 but kicked it's ass. However, even after treatment it can leave an everlasting impact - which is why it is important we have charities like Macmillan who offer a multitude of services.

I will be running, skydiving and hiking for my Uncle, Aunt, Gran, Grandad, Nan and Pap.

Thanks for supporting my fundraising. At Macmillan, we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are our worries. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
