Story
I have done a number of Races for charity over the years, but this year this one really hits home.
Sadly, in March 2023 I lost my beautiful mum Wendy to this awful disease. Mum was admitted to hospital on a Sunday, our family was told a week later there was cancer everywhere, so advanced there was nothing to be done. Mum passed away the next day with us around her. She was 67 years old and had just begun retirement. Life is very unfair, and I never thought I'd be without my mum at this age.
Nothing I can do will ever bring mum back, or make it easier to be without her but if we can avoid another family going through the same situation then so be it. Which is why I'm taking part in the Bath half to raise money and support others.
