Story
Once upon a time I wanted to run a marathon but that’s really far so I thought I’d try a half (I can always run back if I get a taste for it!).
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) face new challenges every day to battle the most complex illnesses including visual impairments In children and young people.
The Ophthalmology department at GOSH was the first in the country to establish paediatric ophthalmology as a sub-speciality, recognising that disorders affecting children’s eyes are very different to those affecting adults.
My fella’s work and teammates produce complex ophthalmic prescriptions for children and young people to help them see the world around them.
This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill and affected children the best chance to fulfil their potential.
