Story
I decided to sign up for the Great North Run 2017 as a way to ease my pain and grief of losing my boyfriend in a tragic car accident. I sat there for a month wondering how to start and totally unmotivated because of the shock, grief, and emotional moments I was going through. I then took what I had left and decided that I was going to do this one month later, it took every last bit of me physically and mentally to plough myself into training. I kept telling myself I can do something good for others and turn this tragedy into helping others. It is the same again this year and always will be in memory of Paul who will be missed by me and my kids forever!!! I will run for 1 different charity every year for as long as I am able to.
At some point unfortunately people will need to use and have support from these facilities. If I didn't do this and others like me didn't then our family, friends and loved ones wouldn't have any support or treatment. This saves lives!!!
