Story
So I have finally decided to do the something crazy I promised myself I would do when I turned 40 and to raise some money for a deserving charitable cause, I am now 43!!! 😬 It's taken me this long I know. I am raising money for The Wallich by doing a tandem SKYDIVE on the 29th of March with Guinness world record breaker, Dilys Price OBE🪂 I have worked for the Wallich for only 9 months but have seen first hand the amazing work that is done to help so many people on a daily basis. This has become a charity very close to my heart and absolutely LOVE the Job I do. Please click on the link below and give it a read! I would be so grateful for any sponsors, even if it’s just £1.. Every little helps!!
Please share ☺️
The Wallich is doing something about homelessness. We operate under three core objectives: getting people off the streets; keeping people off the streets; and creating opportunities for people. We believe that everyone deserves the right to a home, but more than that, that everyone deserves the right to feel safe, to feel valued and to feel positive about their future.
Its not just in the cities that you see homelessness. Working for The Wallich in Carmarthenshire, I see on a daily basis the effects of not having a safe and secure place to live has on so many people. I feel passionately that no one should be without a place
they call home.
The funds we raise will go directly to Carmarthenshire floating support. We provide housing tenancy support across the Carmarthenshire area. Support to either find someone a suitable home if they are street homeless or Support and guidance in any issues that can affect their housing such as:
Financial Management
Substance or alcohol misuse
Mental or physical health issues
Emotional welfare and tenancy/ housing management.
We depend on your support to keep doing what we do best. The figures below show a brief outline of what the money we raise could afford.
£5.00 can provide a hot drink and a warm breakfast
£43.00 can provide a bed for someone (emergency accommodation)
£50.00 can provide a counselling session
£425.00 can help someone move into their own home.
So I have decided to take the plunge and do a tandem skydive at 12,000ft with Guinness world record breaker, inspirational 87 year-old Dilys Price OBE.
Please dig deep... even a £1.00 will Make a difference. The work we do is so important and needed. Please sponsor me today and ensure The Wallich continues to offer a lifeline to people sleeping rough and helping them to take their first step out of homelessness.
