We support children diagnosed with cancer to relieve suffering by providing holidays

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Please help me to help this amazing charity who help very sick children through an awful time in their lives.  This charity is very close to my heart, as it was set up by my cousin Tom when he was very ill and he wanted to help other children who were suffering like he was.

The Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Fund was founded in 1999 by Thomas Ball, then aged 9 and himself undergoing treatment for neuroblastoma stage four which had been diagnosed some 20 months earlier.

The main objective of tbccf is to relieve sickness and distress among children suffering from cancer and members of their families. We do this in any way that the trustees feel will be beneficial to the sick child, usually in the form of medical equipment, holidays, special gifts and research.

Thomas was the charity's most prolific fundraiser - from sponsored bike rides and swimming to dances, discos, draws and raffles.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

The object of the charity is to relieve sickness and distress among children suffering from cancer and their families. The trustees do this in any way that will be beneficial to the sick child & family. This is usually in the form of free holidays taken in one of the charity's properties on the coast in Hampshire. It also provides play/medical equipment for hospitals/individuals, organises special treats, raises awareness of childhood cancer & donates funds for UK neuroblastoma research
