I am taking part in a boxing match to raise money for The Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital.

This is the toughest thing I have ever committed to… mentally and physically and I’m already proud of these first few weeks but hope to make it to the end and stand in that ring knowing I’ve given my all.

This isn’t just a journey for me though. 

This is to help raise money for Newborn Intensive Care Unit in Manchester. A charity that has a special place in my heart for a number of reasons. 

It’s not going to be easy. I imagine there will be plenty tears, blood and sweat shed. But, for what it will mean to the charity, those families and those babies - It’s so worth it.

Here’s to the next few weeks biting down on that gumshield and trying to push through those really tough moments where I want to give up and concentrate on why I am doing it.
