Story
I am fundraising for Why me? by taking part in our 95:95 Challenge this September. We are travelling a distance of 95 miles to raise awareness for the 95% of victims of crime who are not told about their entitlement to Restorative Justice.
As a small charity, Why me? is grateful for any donations you can make so we can continue to deliver Restorative Justice and transform lives.
Many victims of crime feel sidelined by the criminal justice process.
Restorative Justice gives them the chance to ask questions about the incident, explain the impact that it had on them and have a say in how the harm can be repaired.
This process can transform lives by empowering those affected by crime and conflict to repair the harm that has been caused. It enables them to find a way to move forward, in a way which meets the needs of all those involved.
Restorative Justice is a proven way to address trauma from crime and reduce re-offending and Why me? is the leading Restorative Justice organisation in England and Wales.
How will my donations make a difference?
£10 could pay for a member of the team to call and reassure a vulnerable victim of crime.
£60 could support our ambassadors to speak out about their experience of Restorative Justice, helping others feel confident to explore its benefits.
£100 could pay for a meeting with a victim of crime to discuss their needs and how Why me? could help them.
