Just over 2 years ago, I decided to start running, signing up to Cardiff 10k and half marathon, I have always said it’s my aspiration to run the London marathon and what better way to do it than raising money for an amazing charity. As a nurse in the ITU department, I unfortunately see a lot of cases of meningitis where patients need organ support. Thankfully the majority recover but some are not so fortunate so I have decided to raise as much as I can for the Meningitis Research Foundation to raise awareness and help towards future research to hopefully stop this awful disease.
