We fund cutting-edge medical research to prevent and earlier detect gynae cancers

Story

I'm hiking a 26 mile trek-a-thon in the Chiltern Hills Sept. 24 to raise money for the Eve Appeal, a charity focused on gynaecological cancers. I'm hoping you can help me with a donation. The Eve Appeal does amazing work to raise awareness of signs and symptoms of these deadly diseases, along with medical research into early detection and prevention. For example, one of the research projects, called FORECEE, aims to predict a woman’s risk of developing four types of cancer (breast, ovarian, cervical and womb) using a single test.

I'm trekking with pals from my book group, because one of our members, Lorraine Lodge, died of ovarian cancer in 2013 at the age of 52. We miss her! The photo is from the same event in 2015 - this year we are hoping to top our fund-raising total of more than 10,000 pounds.

The total amount I raise will be matched by my employer, Bloomberg LP. Thanks for your amazing support!
