Story
4 years ago, whilst playing in goal for my local team, my Dad, Mark, collapsed. He suffered a brain haemorrhage and was taken to Southampton General where he had emergency surgery. He spent a week on life support in the intensive care unit, before it was decided that there was nothing more that could be done to save him. We agreed to donate his organs, before his life support was switched off. He died on the 12th May 2018.
The care and support given to both my Dad, and to us as a family was incredible. The compassion they showed us all and the time they spent with us, quite often in their own time was above and beyond. We will never forget this as a family.
I have decided now, 4 years on, to remember him by doing what my Dad loved watching me do - throwing myself around in goal! Please donate what you can for this amazing charity.. and.. if you want to try and score a goal against me, let me know and we will pick 5 of you (money talks 😉) to take part in this event!
It will take place at Eastleigh FC at Half Time against Scunthorpe on the 10th September! Keep the date free!
Thank you to Eastleigh in the Community for supporting this and making it happen!
