I am participating in the Great North Run this year to raise money for those needing stem cell transplants. I chose this cause as i was told I would require a stem cell transplant last november after a relapse of my Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After a few setbacks I am due to get my transplant in the upcoming week.

Anthony Nolan is the charity that makes lifesaving connections between people with blood cancer and incredible strangers ready to donate their stem cells. The work they do saves three lives each day.

They achieve this by growing the global stem cell register, carrying out groundbreaking research and providing pre and post-transplant care. This gives families a future.
