Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page.

In 2016 over 5360 women gave birth at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital and over the next 5 years we are anticipating over 30,000
women birthing with us.  That’s a lot of lovely babies we look forward to welcoming into the world.

All our Midwives and maternity staff enjoy meeting our new and returning families, we are pleased that we have been able to support
you on such an important time in your life and are thrilled that we have been privileged to be part of your journey.

We need donations to help us purchase additional lifesaving equipment and comfort items to further benefit our Maternity unit and future families.

We are currently raising money for:

  • Murals, to enhance the delivery suite and create
a pleasant environment for labouring mums
  • Additional telemetry equipment, to promote
active birth for Mums with high risk concerns whose babies need advanced
continuous monitoring ‘without being strapped to a bed’
  • Therapeutic care for new Mums and Midwives to
    support wellbeing
  • Renovate the antenatal clinic, creating a homely
environment for expectant mums to enjoy, whilst waiting for their appointments
    with a Midwife or Doctor.
