How to get involved at LCP on World Book Day
You can take part and help raise funds for World Book Day in 3 three ways:
1) Dress up as your favourite character and tell us why Kids, couples, bubbles, flat mates or pets all welcome to take part, the more the merrier! Search #worldbookday2021 on Yammer & post your dress pictures to the thread and tell why you dressed up as your favourite using the hashtag #worldbookday2021.
2) Share a story Record yourself reading your favourite extract from a book. Search #worldbookday2021 on Yammer & post your video to the thread using the hashtag #worldbookday2021.
3) Share a picture of your favourite book Search #worldbookday2021 on Yammer & post your picture to the thread using the hashtag #worldbookday2021.
Please note we will be sharing posts on Instagram , if you don’t want your post on our public Instagram account please put #noinsta We will judge the most stand out entry and the winner will win book vouchers. Be sure to add the hashtag #worldbookday2021 to your posts so we can judge the winner!

World Book Day changes lives through a love of books and shared reading. Our mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own.Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a childs future success more than their family circumstances, their parents educational background or their income. We want to see more children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with a life-long habit of reading for pleasure and the improved life chances this brings them.With your funds, we can reach even more children and give them a book of their own. A donation of £1 helps us to get £1 book tokens and books to every child, through every school or nursery, across the UK and Ireland. Every year, children look forward to receiving their £1 book token, and for 1 in 3 child receiving free school meals the World Book Day £1 book is the first book of their own.
