Story
Hey
This year for charity me and some of my flatmates have decided to take part in a project called LCD Hitch. Our aim is to raise £350 in donations and sponsorship to hitchhike to Morocco. LCD is a great cause and makes a big difference in Africa, I hope reading the information below will encorage you to make a donation to the cause, which would be greatly appreciated. Also if reading the information you decide you would like to take part i'd suggest you visit this link and search Hitch 2010, http://www.lcdinternational.org/, I hope you agree this is a great opportunity and a great cause and all help would be greatly appreciated.
The Hitch info:
The Hitch, organised by charity LCD (Link Community Development) is now in it's 19th year and over 1000 students from universities all over the country take part each year. The basic idea is that all those taking part raise £350 through sponsorship and fundraising so they can take part in a cross continental hitch hike from the UK to Morocco, in the north of Africa. In groups of two or three we must make our way through England, across continental Europe and to the tip of Africa relying on ourselfes and anyone generous enough to pick up a bunch of young pittyful hitchhikers.
The Charity Info:
The charity all this is in aid of is Link Community Development (LCD). Link Community Development aims to bring high standards of education and opportunities to poor communities in sub Saharan Africa. LCD has a real impact in parts of Africa and improves the lives of so many young people. It really is a worthy cause and any money you donnate will make a big difference to children in a less fortunate part of the world. Link Community Development opperates in 5 African countries and this year hopes to raise £450 000 for the cause. For more information on LCD visit: http://www.lcdinternational.org/

So please dig deep and donate now.
I'd like to thank everyone for their help and all donations made and hope I can write back to everyone who donates because it makes a massive difference. Right now me and my fellow Hitchers are just at the beggining of the fund raising process but we hope to keep everyone updated on how our progress is going , if we reach our fundraising target of £350 and if we do, how the Hitch itself goes.
Kindest regards
