Story
Back in January 2011 a friend challenged me to visit and lick every Anglican cathedral in the UK. It started as just a bit of fun but as my journey got going my eyes were opened to the extraordinary collection of cathedrals in this country. Many of them are struggling financially and have huge running costs. My home cathedral of York Minster, for example, needs £20,000 every single day to operate.
The purpose of the York Minster Fund (http://www.yorkminster.org/get-involved/york-minster-fund.html) is to raise money for the restoration of this incredible building and ensure that it can continue to be enjoyed for many years to come.
For information on how to donate, see the details below.
Please dig deep and help this worthy cause. To the people of this city, the Minster is York.
