Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know, I visited an orphanage in Romania in August last year. The other volunteers and I helped run a summer activity program for the residents of the orphanage and children from the surrounding town. Since then I have been wanting to do something to contribute to this amazing cause because I was inspired by the work they are doing over there. Not only have they set up a home for HIV positive young adults - some of whom also have learning disabilities - there is also a school for the children of Cernavoda who cannot attend state school. This provides them with the essential basis they need to be able to enter higher education and get jobs. 

 

I ran the Great North Run last September and have given myself another personal challenge in aiming to complete the Nottingham Half Marathon in under 2 hours.

Cernavoda is an amazing town with incredible, inspiring work and people. I wish everybody could see it first hand and to experience it the way I did.
