Acorns supports around 750 children and almost 1,000 families every year. The charity needs to raise £11 million each year to provide its lifeline care. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable. Together, we are stronger.

Story

Because of your generosity last year I managed to raise over £600 for Acorns Children's Hospice...so I've decided to step it up a notch! I applied for a place in the London Marathon 2012 through the charity, and I was lucky enough to be selected!...on the condition that I raise £2500. So not only is this going to be a physical challenge, but also one which requires a lot of effort to fundraise for. So that you feel that you're getting your money's worth - I am running two big events! I ran the Birmingham Half October 2011 in just under 1 hour 42 minutes, and I've set myself the target of 3 hours 45 mins for the full 26 point whatever miles - this will take a lot of training on my part which I'm looking forward to! I KNOW that you're a generous, supportive and charitable bunch so I beg you please to dig deep, spread the word and help me in any way you can for such a fantastic cause!
