We fund lifesaving research to tackle heart and circulatory diseases

Story

Last year I took part in this event to raise money for Save the Children, improve my health and quite simply for the experience.  It took me an astronomical amount of time to complete and I injured my knee in the process (t'was 5 months before I stopped feeling pain) but I finished the ride and loved every minute.

This year I'll be joined by my brother (who'll be riding for NSPCC) and a few cousins (supporting their own chosen charities); a family occasion and future tradition perhaps.

I've chosen to support British Heart Foundation because high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes are concerns common to those of direct Caribbean and African descent. A lack of awareness and left unchecked these conditions can lead to serious heart conditions.

I'm training, riding and raising money in recognition of that.
