Story
As most of you will know, I have been volunteering with Cats Protection since I retired some 10 years ago.
For the last three years I have undertaken sponsored walks on behalf of the charity and raised just under £1,500. These last two years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cats Protection (along with so many other charities) has seen its fund raising capability virtually disappear. For charities which actually have responsibility for living animals in their care, this lack of funding has had a major impact as the animals still need food and veterinary care, etc. Cats Protection receives no government funding and relies totally on the generosity of the public.
For this reason, I am undertaking the 9 Mile Challenge again this year and hope to add to the sum already raised. If you feel that you are in a position to contribute to this worthy cause, I (and the cats) would be extremely grateful.
Please support my challenge and help cats and kittens in need get back on their paws!
