Story
Every 21 minutes a household is made homeless in London - a staggering 120 families in England become homeless every single day. In the winter months, it is more important than ever to support the homeless in our community who have to deal with the harsh conditions of many cold and windy nights. With our hectic lives, it is sometimes easy to overlook those around us who desperately need our help. This is where 'Shelter' steps in.
'Shelter' helps millions of people annually, struggling with homelessness and bad housing through advice, support and free legal services. This is a cause I firmly stand by and that is why I will be participating in the Vertical Rush on 15th March 2018.
932 steps. 42 floors. 600+ feet. Vertical Rush is a tower-running challenge where pledgers race up Tower 42 to raise money in support of 'Shelter'. It is the test of endurance, physical stamina and mental strength that motivates me to take on this challenge. I am very excited about the prospect of working towards this goal in order to raise money for a cause I am passionate about.
My small impact through participating in the Vertical Rush can only be magnified towards an even greater impact with your generosity. Many of us have been fortunate to have always had a roof over our heads... but we must not forget those who do not.
