Story
My interest in altitude Mountaineering has been growing in recent years. Following the Everest Base Camp Trek in 2008 when I raised funds for the Anthony Nolan Trust, I have been to Alaska to climb Denali (Mt Mckinley) and in 2011 climbed Cho Oyu, a neighbouring 8000m peak to Everest.
Although I will be pursuing a personal ambition in climbing to the summit of Everest I will also be raising funds for The Anthony Nolan Trust. As you may know Anthony Nolan is involved with Leukaemia research and Bone Marrow transplants, a very worthwhile cause and one that has been very effective over the years.
So please dig deep and donate now. Your help will be very much appreciated.
As an update I summited Everest on 20th May 2012 after suffering some frostbite in my right hand and on my cheeks. I returned safely to Base Camp and then trekked and flew out to Kathmandu, arriving back in the UK on 1st June. I am still continuing to collect donations for the ANBMT and welcome any contributions that you can make.
