Story
Thanks to support of Lauren’s friends and family and the very generous donations, inspired by Lauren’s story, on Sunday July 8 I will be carrying the Olympic Torch through Hatfield.
A big honour for me, and a huge source of amusement for Lauren, I’m sure!
Lauren’s friends and family are doing a sponsored walk over the weekend of 1112 June 2011 to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of our lovely Lauren. Between us we will cover 500 miles (in respect of Lauren’s favourite song – she found this Proclaimers number quite an inspiration!) All money raised will go to the Lauren Breheny Memorial Fund, and will be invested in research into brain cancer. Lauren bravely fought a brain tumour, debilitating surgeries and treatments for three years with immense courage and without losing her sense of humour. Sadly she passed away aged just 32, but her beautiful spirit will live on. She would be delighted to know that money raised in her memory may mean the outcome for someone else is better. She would give anything a go for charity!
You will never be forgotten Lauren - a wonderful daughter, sister and friend.
