Story

On the 13th February 2021 our world shattered when our friend Charlotte lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 34, in true Lottie style she fought long and hard with grace and dignity with a smile on her face. For those of you that didn’t know Charlotte she was the type of person that always put others before her, no ask was too much, a good listener, kind, charitable, silly on a night out and most of all a great friend. We still find it hard to come to terms with the fact she has gone and was taken from us far too soon by this cruel disease.

So, on the 23rd April 2023 I will be running (if we can call it that - tbc) the London Marathon in memory of our gorgeous friend and to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. Winter training (5 months of it) is gruelling with the cold wet weather and dark mornings and early nights, even more gruelling now I’m pushing mid 30’s and haven’t run more than 5k in the past year with already achy knees, (and also the fact I will have to say NO to so many social events). But this isn’t a patch on what Charlotte and many other women and families affected have to go through. So please dig deep and support me in raising £2.5k!

Thank you all in advance, and anyone that wants to keep me company on the long runs you are more than welcome!
