The RSPCA Blackberry Farm Animal Centre rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes hundreds of animals each year.

Story

I am running my third marathon this Autumn in the Virgin London Marathon. I was lucky enough to get in by the ballot but I am going to try and raise some money for RSPCA Blackberry Farm. This is my place of work and I see every day how our animals benefit from donations and fundraising.

I was going to use this as an added opportunity to help promote my project dog Maxy in the hope we could finally find him a home. Unfortunately, due to medical issues, we lost Maxy back at the end of August. He never managed to find his forever home but he will forever be in my heart. He was an amazing dog and I’ve been devastated, training has been tough with injury this past month but knowing I have Maxy watching over to cheer me on is going to get me over that line.

The RSPCA Blackberry Farm Animal Centre rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals rescued from neglect and bad treatment by their previous owners. They look after dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, farm animals and many other types of small domestic animals - at any one time we could be caring for over 200 animals. They rely on donations to continue their important work. Please help raise money for the animals in their care!It can take weeks and sometimes months to rehabilitate animals. Our staff and volunteers work hard to ensure every animal that comes through our doors will find their 'perfect match'.
