Thumbs up for Charlie has been created in memory of our beautiful 5 year old son who died after heroically battling an ependymoma brain tumour for three years. Our aim is to support other families living with or affected by childhood brain tumours

Story

Nearly a year ago now, my lovely friend Lynne lost her beautiful, brave nephew Charlie, aged 5. He had battled a brain tumour for 3 years of his short life. We ran 26 miles in May last year to raise money for brain tumour research and you all gave so generously. 


This year, we are upping the ante! We are running the festival of running half marathon on 24th April and we are raising money for the newly formed thumbsupforcharlie foundation. This is a fabulous charity, set up by Charlie’s parents, in his memory, to offer support and short breaks to families living with or affected by childhood brain tumours. Read more from them below…
