For as long as I can remember I have always dreamed of swimming the English Channel. Apart from my Dads bad joke of suggesting to throw me off his boat to swim back, it’s not happened until now. 

I’ve teamed up with 5 other ladies so we are all in this together! All 6 of us swim at the magnificent New Bath Hotel pool - one of a kind. A spring fed swimming pool, no chemicals and naturally heated. And it’s outdoors. So the perfect training ground for us through the winter. 

When we met the folk behind the charity Aspire they told us about the work they do. Aspire provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury, supporting them from injury to independence. It’s mind blowing the work they have done. 

Aspire have allocated us our boat leader and boat - it’s all getting very real! Fundraising starts on Sunday 21st November at eve pool with tombolas, cake sales and more.
