Hi. I’m Max. Age 10. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was aged 6. It’s been years of needles, finger pricks, hypos and hypers. 

I wish for a life where I don’t have to think about carb ratios, corrections when high, drinking Lucozade when I’m low. To be able to pick up that packet of sweets and eat them without having to put insulin in and wait 20 minutes. I want to run around playing with my friends without worrying I’m going to have a hypo. To sleep through the night without my phone beeping at me as I’m high/low. 

I would like to not wear an insulin pump all the time and have a blood glucose monitor attached to my stomach permanently.

I want to help find a cure..... so during March I am going to run 1km a day for 31 days. I hope you with join me on Max’s Mission  

I have my army of friends joining in with me; Thomas, Lucas, George, Fred, CJ, Curtis, Max and Neo, Miss Miller my teacher, my family and also Northwich Sapphires Netball club  🖤💛
