Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I chose the Stroke Association as my charity to get Muddy, cold, elecricuted, bruised and just torn to shreds as I lost my Grandad to a stroke in 2010. Although this challenge seems gruelling, it is a small sacrifice for the years of love, laughs and tears I shared with him.
He was a stinky, twiggy legged, round bellied and toothless scottish man with a witty sense of humour and huge love for his grandchildren and my nan.
He was a very fit man back in his day. He served as as a winchman in the RAF and often he would proudly boast about introducing egg and chips to Thailand and telling stories about how back then learning to parachute meant being thrown out of a plane and 'kissing your ass goodbye' if the chute didnt release.
Losing him was a horrific experience for the whole family and I want to help raise funds to reduce the amount of victims and families that are impacted by these significant and life changing events.
He was taken far too soon and has missed out on so much since he left us. I feel that donating to this fantastic charity could help raise more awareness of strokes and increase funding for further research that can help save the lives of others as well as improve the education of the general public.
