Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On the 13th of June I'll be taking part in the Martlets Midnight Walk alongside my family, walking 13 miles through Brighton in memory of my dad Mark Sprinthall.
In 2012 my dad was diagnosed with skin cancer (metastatic melanoma), he remained so brave and strong through his battle despite suffering many horrible side effects to all the medication, operations and treatments he had to have. Sadly he passed away on the 12th April 2015 aged only 47. It's hard to describe the incredible care that the Martlet's provided for my dad. All the nurses and the staff are so caring and they looked after my dad like he was family.
My dad was an incredible man, he was so funny and happy, he was always a hard worker and an amazing dad to me and my brothers and sisters. Even when he was very ill his priority was always his family and never himself. He was a very important part of my life and we all love and miss him more than words can say. I know how much he loved the hospice and how he would want us to raise money for this amazing place. The midnight walk is the first of many things I will be doing to raise money as without the Martlets my dad wouldn't have been looked after with such care and respect.
Any money you can donate to this wonderful charity will be gratefully received. Thank you, Lauren xxx
