I've recently watched one of my closest friends and her family go through the most horrendous and hardest times of their lifes.

My best friend Lauren lost her sister in-law Mel earlier this year to breast Cancer only aged 41. She battled for years and always put up a good fight, but unfortunately the disease came back. I went through every emotion with Laul during all the years she had chemo and treatement and although I didn't know Mel like her family and closest friends, she has inspired us for being the amazing and courageous person she was and in her memory lauren,Lucy and myself are running a half marathon to raise money for the hospice which cared for Mel right to the end and also to cancer research to pray that one day they find a cure for cancer.
