Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to take on the challenge of running 26.2 miles in memory of my nanny rose in order to raise money for St Francis Hospice.

St Francis Hospice is where my nan spent her final days before sadly passing away from systemic scleroderma. Not only did my nan receive the most wonderful care during her time here but the support, devotion and kindness that was shown to my family by all staff was second to none during this difficult time. My nan was made as comfortable as possible and passed peacefully with her family around her thanks to St Francis.

St Francis hospice is an independent charity which means that in order to provide this dedicated and expert care, the hospice needs to raise over £8 million each year because only 28% of there costs are paid by the government. This means they heavily rely on donations and I would like to do my very best to raise as much money as possible, not only to show my appreciation for everything the hospice did for my Nan and family, but to also make sure other families can continue to have the same support and care from the hospice in the future.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
