Story
In 36 hours I am cycling 75 miles from London to Brighton off road.
Despite competing in lots of sponsored events in the past I've always felt a bit embarrassed to ask my friends to sponsor me but, as this is my hardest challenge to date I think the time has come to ask for your help.
Anyone who knows me well will know that my Dad died when I was only 8. He died of a heart attack at only 31 years old. If my dad was around today and had a heart attack he could probably be helped and would stand a very good chance of surviving. Unfortunately, the advances in heart care that we all take for granted today, simply hadn't been made 30 years ago .
With this in mind I want to support the BHF in memory of my lovely Dad Paul Floodgate who taught me how to ride a bike all those years ago.
So when you are all tucked up in bed on Saturday morning think of me. I'll will be leaving London at 7.15am, probably in the dark, and with my two lovely friends Rebecca and Lisa and will probably be arriving at Brighton, in the dark, having cycled for around 12 hours.
So what will I be doing on Monday - NOT SITTING DOWN I GUESS!
