On 4th January this year my life changed in an instant.

Dec collapsed at home whilst thankfully me and Myla were there. He was rushed into the Resus department at QMC by the two greatest angels in green and it was discovered he was suffering from massive PE's on both of his lungs.

Sadly, Dec then went into cardiac arrest due to the strain that was being put onto his heart, it took over 50 minutes for them to bring him back to me. He underwent surgery to remove the clots from his lungs and subsequently went into cardiac arrest a further 4 times and suffered a lot of blood loss. 

Dec then spent a long time in a coma in the Critical Care unit at QMC where we were told his chances of survival through the night and following days were minimal. However, the Nurses, Consultants and Doctors in Critical Care were absolutely phenomenal and he is here with us to tell the tale. 

Dec is still undergoing a lot of follow up care for his kidneys, lungs, heart and liver so we still have a journey ahead of us but we would like to raise as much money as possible for the Adult Intensive Care Unit at the QMC as a small token of thanks for ensuring that I have a future with my husband and our little girl has her Daddy.
