Story
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be making a (very) bold attempt to run the London Marathon on the 28th of April this year in memory of my Grandfather, Harry
As many of you know, my dad never knew his dad, but thanks to the TV show long lost family we met him in Australia, for the first time, 3 years ago. This meeting was bittersweet as we learned his dad has Alzheimer's and Dementia. Harry sadly passed away in November and so I want to raise as much as possible in his memory and to finally find a cure for Alzheimer's and Dementia.
There is currently no cure for Dementia, there are 850,000 living with dementia in the UK and it is estimated by 2021 this figure will reach 1 million. Dementia is the biggest health threat facing society. As charity of the year for the 2019 London Marathon, Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Research UK are joining forces to lead the charge towards a cure.
Although I completed the Brighton half last year, I've barely ran since and this is going to be BRUTAL. Seriously, 26.2 miles? What am I actually thinking?! Every donation last year kept me going when I wanted to give up on training and I really hope I can reach my target (also cause I have to cough up the mulla myself if I don't so like REALLY please donate, I ain't that flush guys!)
Anything you can donate for this amazing charity would be much appreciated. To find out more about what they do please click on the following link:

Wish me luck - I'll most definitely need it!
