Hi Everyone,

In September I will volunteer for three months on a  business development programme in west Africa. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I’ll be working alongside volunteers from Ghana, Uganda or Zambia,  to support entrepreneurs and enterprises, helping them grow their businesses to generate income, sustainable economic growth and alleviate poverty.

ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.

I need to raise £800. All of the money raised will go directly towards supporting the work of Challenges Worldwide and their ICS partner organisations, enabling ICS to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities. None of the money raised will go towards any of my expenses or flights. Any contribution from you will make a real difference not only in helping me to get to my target but more importantly to the lives of people in so many developing countries.
