Story
Hi, I'm Lauren! Alongside my friend Sarah, I'll be trekking 50km across the North Downs this summer to raise money for Mind - a charity that we both feel a connection to. During the COVID-19 lockdown, when everything felt so uncertain, Sarah and I found solace in our weekly walks - they were a lifeboat that we could hold on to and rely on, and the act of walking became a chance to offload and confide in one another. We called it The Friday Club, and the name just stuck!
Mind does vital work to ensure that no one feels alone or forgotten about, ensuring that everyone experiencing mental health issues can access the support and respect that they deserve.
A 50km trek is a pretty significant physical challenge for me, so I would so appreciate anything you can donate to raise some cash for Mind and enable them to keep doing what they do best - helping the people who need it the most.
