We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

On October 14th 2018 I will be running the Manchester Half Marathon for Bowel Cancer UK.

Many of you already know my (future) sister (-in-law) was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in June this year. The aggressive nature of the disease means it has failed to respond to treatment. Bowel Cancer UK are continuing to help research novel treatments for resistant disease and provide great support to patients and families.

Being a runner I realise to many this may not look like a challenge but with my injury history and being a local event it has provided the perfect opportunity to promote this charity.

Jenny and her family and friends have already raised a fantastic amount so far. Any donations would be very much appreciated and hopefully I’ll win some prize money to add to the donations.
