Story

I have been lucky enough to receive a ballot entry place for London Marathon 2023. Unlike last year, this means I do not need to raise money for a charity to take part. However, I’ve decided I’m going to raise money for the brilliant Hayward House in Nottingham in memory of my wonderful Auntie Liz.

Last year, Auntie Liz received the most fantastic care from the staff of Hayward House and I want to raise money for their appeal to improve the garden, welcome area and research facilities as well as the day to day running of Hayward House.

Auntie Liz meant the world to us. And we miss her every day. I want to use this place in the marathon to turn our heartbreak and sadness into something positive.

You can read more about the wonderful work of Hayward House here: www.nuh.nhs.uk/hayward-house/
