Story
I am running the Manchester Marathon on 16th April in memory of my lovely cousin Craig, who sadly passed away last year at the age of 31 from cardiomyopathy and cardiac arrhythmia.
The 2023 adidas Manchester Marathon is an incredible opportunity to complete 26.2 miles whilst raising money for a life changing cause, and remembering Craig.
Whilst embarking on this journey, I hope to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy heart and balanced lifestyle, whilst encouraging loved ones to learn a new key life skill, CPR, as you never know when or where you might need to use it.
The British Heart Foundation is a great charity who continue to fund life changing research with support from people like you. Every donation you make helps fund scientific breakthroughs that will save and improve the lives of millions suffering from heart and circulatory diseases.
Most people train for marathon's over a long period of time...but I'm a little late and hoping 14 weeks will suffice! I will keep you updated with how it's going up until the event.
Really grateful for any donations; no matter how small or large.
Let’s hope my little legs can carry me over the finish line!
Thanks for reading,
Lauren
