On Sunday 14th April Myself, my brother Phil and sister Fay will be doing a Billinge to The Beach round trip 40 mile / 65km sponsored cycle (Southport Beach not anything French!!!) to raise money for the below programme and you can keep track of how we get on here on our justgiving page. Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please every little helps!!

In June 2013 I will volunteer with Raleigh International on a development programme in India but I still need to raise £800 to contribute to the work we will be doing out there. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I’ll be working alongside volunteers from India.

Since 2008 Raleigh in India has managed to benefit over 9,000 local Indians. Giving 1,665 people somewhere to clean and go to the bathroom with 330 eco-sanitation units. Volunteers have built 29 tribal house accommodation 165 individuals. 650 children now have education thanks to 3 schools being constructed. Installation of 4 gravity feed water systems now provide water to 250 people. And to top it all off 250 people now benefit from a tribal community centre.
