Recently, someone I know was raped. Her world was shattered. She went to Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre. Her initial appointment with them was kind, caring, and supportive, but they put her on a six month waiting list for regular, one-on-one appointments. Six months. She has limited finances and cannot afford private therapy. With more resources, the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre could help those who need their help, sooner.
