Story
I joined Cardiff University in 2015 as an undergraduate, and they just can't get rid of me! I am now in the final years of my PhD at Cardiff and am running the Cardiff Half Marathon this year to give something meaningful back to the place which has helped me grow as a person and develop as a researcher. Now, I'm supporting the next generation of researchers, to help accelerate life-changing discoveries to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for people living with a wide range of conditions.
Like many of us, cancer has affected my family in recent years, and so I am running to support cancer researchers at Cardiff University, who are improving outcomes for people living with some of the most common cancers such as breast, prostate and bowel, as well as those that are rarer or hard to treat.
