Story
Thanks for visiting my page!
In February, I will volunteering with VSO in Tepa, Ghana for 14 weeks. I will be working closely with the community of Tepa to help workers find more market space for their produce, and create better conditions in which to work and receive a better income, particularly for cocoa farmers. I will also be talking in schools to encourage youths to take up agricultural work, which is very important in communities like Tepa.
A recent survey revealed the challenges faced with the livelihood activities in the communities, particularly, lack of markets for their farm produce and youth unemployment as well as lack of interest in agriculture among the youth.
I need to raise a minimum of £800, and 100% of the funds raised goes towards the project itself. All costs for travel, accommodation, vaccinations etc are already paid for by the government, who fund 90% of the programme, and keeps VSO going.
Thank you again for looking at my page. Any donations are greatly appreciated x
