Story
On Saturday 9th June at 00:15am Team TTSP will set off on a unique 100km moonlit ride around London's iconic landmarks for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
For those who know the three of us. There will be no surprise that TTSP's resident athletes Jo and Laura are doing a 100km cycle. Then there is little me!
We discussed various charitable events and despite my not cycling since I was Fourteen (or owning a bike) we decided we would really like to join this challenge.
This event has over three thousand cyclists and (Miss Goulden) racing around the streets of London taking in the fabulous scenery in the wee hours. This is a 100km and I will be sans stabilisers. Please see the http://www.nightrider.org.uk/ for detail of our journey!
If I may ask you to please support both us and Marie Curie we would be so very grateful. We have all been touched by the effects of Cancer and we wish to focus our efforts, no matter how small on supporting this amazing cause.
Marie Curie has 2,000 nurses in the UK and last year they worked for 1,200,000 hours caring for terminally ill patients, including half of all cancer patients who die at home. We would love to reach £1000.00 however to put their work into perspective they need to raise £10,000 every hour or everyday to carry out their work.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please do support us, all donations are gratefully received no matter how small.
Thank you very much.
Lauren, Laura and Jo.
