Story
I am running the Edinburgh Half Marathon on 28th May followed by the 10k tough mudder the following week to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
For anyone not aware of what this horrible disease is; Multiple Sclerosis is a progressive autoimmune disease, where your body's immune system attacks your own nervous system damaging the myelin coating that protects the nerves.
I am very unfit so this will be a challenge but nothing compared to what anyone with MS, especially my Mum, faces.
My Mum has been living with MS for over 21 years. She is my inspiration for running this. I know that in those final miles and I'm struggling (or maybe from mile 2 onwards..!), I will be thinking of my Mum and the daily battle she fights just to do the basics that most of us take for granted.
If there is anything my Mum has taught me, it is to never give up!
Any donation is much appreciated, lets stop MS together!
